Designing your cover

The cover is the face of the book. You can upload your own artwork, or let the app design a front and back cover from what your book is about.

Open the cover tools with Edit cover on the Book tab, or from Book Settings.

Use your own artwork

Tap Upload Front Cover or Upload Back Cover and choose an image.

Let the app design it

Tap Generate with AI for a front and back cover created from your book's content. Titles are rendered cleanly so they print well.

• Generate New Cover tries again with a fresh design.
• Generate Cover from Image builds the cover around a photo you supply.

Versions, the print file, and starting over

• Version history keeps every cover you've had, and you can go back to any of them.
• Generate Cover PDF produces the print-ready wraparound cover file used for the physical book. See Ordering a printed copy or ebook.
• Remove cover clears the current artwork.
